Podcasting
I wanted to discuss how podcasting can help students learn. Everyone these days has a mp3 player or a ipod. We are always listening to them, so way not listen to lectures from different subjects. Dr. Leight who teaches Tech. PETE records a podcast for all her lectures. I put them on my ipod and listen to them when i drive. This helps me learn and i wish all instructors would do this. It is a good way to catch up on material you might have missed or need to hear again. I hope in the future colleges require their instructor to provide podcasts to the students.

I can't believe the technology now adays. When I was getting my undergrad degree almost ten years ago, we still did lectures on the overhead machines (where you had the clear plastic sheets and wrote with felt tip marker and it would project on the screen). People brought tape recorders to class to record lectures. Power point was introduced by senior year. It's just crazy the different learning methods used now.
I wish all teachers would do that to. I would listen to the lectures before tests so I would do better on them. I would also fall asleep listening to it because I heard it helps you remember things. I would hope that in the near future teachers do start using this technology.
